OUR MISSION
Appalachian Trade Circle is a barter-based community network serving Western North Carolina, including Asheville, Hendersonville, Mills River, and surrounding areas. We help local gardeners, homesteaders, and makers trade goods and services—like homegrown produce, foraged goods, handmade items, and garden help—using a simple credit-based system. Through an online marketplace and in-person trading posts, we’re cultivating a more sustainable, self-reliant local economy rooted in trust, abundance, and connection.
